LABORATÓRIO

The Laboratory CENCAL is accredited since 1987 for testing ceramic tableware. In 2002 obtained the Accreditation by NP EN ISO / IEC 17025 and the transition to NP EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2018 was granted in September 2020

The accreditation demonstrates technical competence for the scope described in the Technical Annex and operating a Quality Management System.

The purpose of the Quality of Laboratory CENCAL System is to satisfy customer needs. We seek that this principle guides in our activity by responding as quickly as possible to requests, providing appropriate responses to their needs.

Accredited tests and respective delivery time are the following (see Anexo Técnico L0008-1):

Determination of lead and cadmium released by ceramic ware, glass and other materials in contact with food:

EN 1388-2; EN 1388-1; ISO 6486-1; ASTM C 927; ASTM C 738

Testing of the Ceramic Process Control

In this context, to study the possibility of defects or faults, carries out tests to raw materials, and ceramic glazes, determination of physical properties such as texture, bulk density, porosity, mechanical strength, shrinkage, rheology, etc.

A clear understanding to Laboratory of the client request is the first step to start tests. The customer is informed about the number of samples to be sent to the laboratory for each type of test, the delivery schedule and the respective price.

Tests are performed in accordance with national or international standards and when applicable, standard according to internal rules. The laboratory is available to perform tests in accordance with procedures submitted by the customer.

The results are presented in clear and rigorous test reports in portuguese, english or french as requested by the client, and then sent to the customer within the agreed time getting the technical team on hand to help the client to interpret the results expressed therein.
